prayanam review

Prayanam is a love story set in an international airport (Malaysia). It all boils down to just two hours in which the hero has to win his lady love, and how he goes about achieving his target. Dhruv (Manoj) meets Harika (Payal Ghosh), who is waiting for a Hyderabad flight in Kuala Lumpur airport.

He takes the help of his two friends to do all that he can to win her heart. But he does not know that Harika is on her way to India for her marriage which has been fixed and she has to reach on time. When Harika brushes with Dhruv, he takes an impromptu decision to win her heart. While Harika is a girl who believes in being systematic, Dhruv is an impulsive fun-loving person.
Yeleti has taken a big risk by filming in a single location, choosing a completely different plot and using modern storytelling methods. His cast has tried to give its best. Manoj, Payal, Tamim and Kalpika look like they are cut out for their parts and emote very well.

Manoj Manchu plays a different role and Payal Ghosh is apt as a heroine; she has that cute look and her eyes do most of the talking. Janardhan, who plays the hero's friend, is very good with his excellent articulation and dialogue delivery. Brahmanandam, who portrays the role of modern farmer Satyanarayana Swamy, has acted well.

Tamim's wit track is good and his body language is very amusing. Kalpika, who plays the heroine's friend, is pretty and the chemistry between Tamim and Kalpika has been worked out very well. Director Chandrasekhar Yeleti has presented a great story in a neat manner. The dialogues are fine and the script has been written without any flaws.

Mahesh Shankar's good music and background score are really good. The picturisation of songs is good and the cinematography by Sarvesh Murari is appreciable. Lyrics by Ananth Sreeram are good and some dialogues are humorous. The strong points of the film are a great script, music and class comedy
